If you are looking for the hottest pepper, then you must know that Bhut Jolokia (Ghost Pepper) is not the hottest. The Trinidad Scorpion strains and even 7 Pot (aka 7 Pod) are significantly hotter. If I'm not wrong this was officially confirmed this year. But even if it's not official yet I trust more the chiliheads which past 5-6 years claim they are the hottest.

7pot because the heat from one is enough to heat 7 pots of chilli. This guy sells the trinadad scorpion pepper seed, Alabamajacks, he has a facebook page, the address will come up.

Ghost pepper are hot no doubt but not the hottest. The naga viper is hotter and the Butch t Trinidad scorpion is the hottest registered pepper. At any given tine a pepper can be hotter than the current worlds hottest, but the results have to be repeatable in order for it to be recognized. 7 pot, naga viper, naga morich, Butch t, Trinidad Scorpion have all rated higher than ghost peppers, but have not all have been registered hotter by repeatable results. Grow any one of these, even the ghost and you will understand it doesn't really matter. They all hurt!

I know that's right Bryan ... I have no taste buds left!! Once you get into the super hots it's hard to tell the difference in heat..
