Hi Freddie
Sand Hill Preservation center has them, You could try Duck Creek Farms too. Both of them have good websites.

Hi Fredie, I am certainly no expert here, and I have only grown a handful of varieties. Beauregard, Georgia jet, vardaman, and ivis white. The highest yielding were the Beuregards and the Georia jets. The jets get too big and split easily. As for storage I have never had much luck. According to Glen Drowns of the Sand Hill preservation center he says; It is very important to properly handle the potatoes after harvest. Be very gentle with them to prevent scratching and bruising. He reccomends curing them in a greenhouse or some other very warm place (85-90 degrees) for about a week. Then storing between 60-70 degrees. He also believes that the later planted sweet potatoes grow faster and seem to store much better than the May early June planted ones. He is in Iowa and gets successful crops with plantings into July! Go to the Sand Hill web site. http://www.sandhillpreservation.com/pages/sweetpotato_catalog.html

The biggest problem I have with sweet potatoes is keeping the voles out of them. Those little buggers will get every one if I don't dig them early enough.
