I do find it strange that all other clubs don't post here? that might mean that you should first try to find the growers instead of making in easy for yourself and let them contact you. If you post it like this it looks more like an enoying spammer. Don't let us forget that you need the growers not the other way around.

That is my point exactly...you want something from a specific grower, take the effort to do your research and contact them. Write a nice personal letter, or email with what you are seeking and who you are and what your club represents. You do not see any other clubs seeking seeds in this manner because it is poor etiquette. If you do not like this comment feel free to ignore me.

I know Ray, This clown has nothing better to do but make a ass of himself.
For your information Linasss, the message option does not work on my computer, and I do send nice personal letters. I don't know if you know how much of a task it is to run the entire seed auction for a club.
Find a girl friend Linus, it would give you something better to do with your spare time.

EMT, we are a new club, and we do not have all the contacts older clubs have built up over the years, We are starting from scratch, I am sorry if it bothers you, but this is the only way I can gather the contacts I need for our club in the time period I have. I apologize if it bothers you.

Ok I usually stay out of these little squabbles on the message boards but I do have to say this. Shannon (Linus) did not come out and attack you Nick. He did how ever point you in the right direction of how you should go about this. I've had to contact growers for seeds and had no idea what their email was but with a little searching on hear you can generally figure out how to get it. I bet without a single post on the message board I could find the majority of the email addresses you have asked to contact you.
You inturn have turned it into a personal attack on Shannon, stooping to the level of using profanity and assuming he has nothing better to do. Proper etiquette goes a long way in this hobby. If you're not careful you may alienate all those you seek to contact.
I can say I found your method of contact a bit crude and unprofessional. You can be mad at me too since I feel the same way Shannon does and you can degrade me and call me names. Just remember this is a public forum and the whole community is watching you.

Nicholas, your club is welcome to email me a seed request. If you emailed me previously I either did not get it or have not responeded yet. I am getting a lot of requests and have not had a chance to respond to many of them. My email is in my MNFisher diary. As others said, I recommend sending an email and then being PATIENT as there is a lot that goes into sending out seeds and responding to requests.

Bry, I am sure you could find all the contacts you want. You have also been doing this a lot longer than I have, and have a lot more contacts. And Bry, How do you know what Shannon done? Are you Shannon. I have tried let it go, but there is always one person who will just not stay out of someone else's business. I will apologize for my poor etiquette, but I still think people should just mind their own business and worry about themselves. Worry about yourself...

Ken does us all a great service with this site. Like I said some time ago, no offense. But do the math. 60 clubs worldwide easy. If they all flooded the message board like you have continually done then this site would be a mess. There have been many nice people trying to steer you into an etiquette that has evolved with this hobby. You are only hurting not only yourself but your club members with your inability to take good advice from good people. I admire your drive.. .but pull it back a notch and all is good.

Shazzy, I actually personally know Ken, and isn't this what the site is for??? Making contacts so in the future you will be better off. I just love how people see a new post and feel like they are entitled to chime in, hahh

Maybe we need to star a list of growers and thier states. Wouldn't that solve everything. Sort of like a Grower Directory.

I think Shazzy meant the day you posted close to 20 times in General Discussion bumping off plenty of good threads. Had all ~60 clubs followed your method, there would be 1,200 new seed requests in one day. Doubt Ken wants that.

Spot on Luke. I ain't meaning no disrespect Big O. And who the hell am I anyways. I seriously wish you the best in your fund raising club endevours. I for one know how hard it is to network and get seeds for auction and try your hardest to get prize money generated. I hope you do get where I am coming from. I guess I was just trying to prevent it from snowballing.
