If anyone has any seeds from a 1,000 pound plus pumpkin that would be able to send me, I will send a Self Address Stamped Envelope. I am looking for a good seed to grow next year. If anyone can help me out, please email me at: angelpka@rock.com

hey Gp kid, try to get the seeds from the fruit that grew the 1000 pounders as opposed to the seeds from the 1000lbers themselves...for instance, ask growers whether they would rather plant the 705 stelts as opposed to the 1140 stelts...

Thanks for the info. I understand what you mean, but aren't those seeds going to be even tougher to get now that people are all looking for those "parent" seeds?

ya but after this year there are so many parent seeds, if you do some research you should find one, and also if you can find similar crosses to the parents that haven't been grown much or were grown this year, try to get those too
Most likely you won't be able to get a 783 daletas or 846, or 705 or 723, but there are other seeds out there which have 1000lb potential. for instance the 878Beauchemin grew a 1005.
