My 717 this year was nice true green squash color, and pretty too! I will be getting the seeds back (it is on display down in the DC/Virginia area) and if you send me a bubble pack, self addressed (postage paid), I will be glad to send you a couple of them.. Here is my addy..

Just call it an addiction any time I see a growers address the first thing I do is send off a bubble pack, of course I'll include some of our seeds... ok the wife's seed but I'll send some of my 509 seeds as well...

My 717 was a Hester 895.5 x self. I only started one squash plant, and didnt want to ruin the pure squash color and genetic makeup, so I didnt cross it with any orange ones. I figure selfing was my best option. Next season, I am leaning on doing 2 squash plants, one just for pollenating purposes only, and yanking it out after it has done its job..

I am very ignorant about squash but how does anyone know
what a 2003 seed will produce yet?
I would assume that a proven 2002 seed would be much more
in order for the person here looking for squash seeds...
