I've been trying to grow a whopper for a number of years now (this is my 4th season) and I managed a PB of just over 300lb last year. Dandytown (also Cannatown in the diaries), a member on here supplied me with the seed, last year AND this year too.

I have my own homemade propogating bench with soil warming cable and thermostat and I duly filed my seed, soaked them then put in cotton wool to germinate. The thermostat broke, the temps went up to over 50 degreees insted of the desired 32 and all the best seed I had is now "cooked" including the 2 1840 GHAYE seed that I had.

I still have some seed to get in, but my dreams to grow from a real heavyweight seed this season have gone up in steam with the cooked pumpkin seed.

I would still like to grow from a giant heavyweight seed this season if possible, can anyone help me out at all? I realise it is a big ask, and probably very cheeky too so I apologise in advance.

I spoke to the manufacturers of the now broken thermostat, they have been very helpful and are sending me a replacement unit, so I can be back up and running in a couple of days.

Did you get your seeds? It will take about a week for any seeds to get to the UK from the USA.

I do have some seed I can use, I was hoping to grow from a monster seed this season, I had two then cooked them, so I am kicking myself bigtime. Waiting a week is much shorter than waiting another whole season. So I am still hoping.
