OK now that the weigh offs are done. There are alot of growers out there that would also like to grow some of these other giants. (Just a slice of canteloupe would have gotten you second place in Nekoosa) So here the deal I mentioned earlier this year about being the host of a giant veggies seed exchange. I am more than happy to do this. Here is what you need to do, send your seeds marked and labeled in bulk if you wish to me along with what you would like back to grow. I will set Thanksgiving as the cut off date to receive request. Only those that participate in the exchange will be able to get seeds, then any other left overs will be posted and given out. I have all the bubble packs for the return exchange, please include some postage.
Here is the Address
Shannon Engel 13285 County Hwy S South Jim Falls, WI 54748
feel free to add comments or suggestions to this list
I reposted this to get more interest.. If you want I will send you a bubblepac

Hi, Did you see the picture of my Giant Kohlrabi that I posted in my photo Gallery here on BP.com yesterday? Would you be interested in seeds of such Giant Kohlrabis? Or are there far better seeds out there that produce bigger ones? But I would definitely like to take part in your seed give away/exchange. What varieties will be available? Thanks, Martin

Hey Gerry, Sure we can do such a swap. Was your 834.5 Squash grown from the 895 Hester? Could you send along a few seeds from your 1262 Emmons pumpkin as well? What was its final weight? Let me know... Martin

Is there a good book about growing Giant vegetables out there? Something like Langevin's three pumpkin books but for vegetables? Hey, all you growers from GB! Growing giant vegetables seems to be very popular in GB, isn't it? What are your favourite books on this subject? Any comments are appreciated! Thanks, Martin
