Does anyone know if the 764 Mombert produced any seeds and if any are around? I'd like to plant one in my test patch this year if I can find any. I'd be willing to trade something for them. I plan to write to Kirk but first want to know if there were any viable seeds. Thanks! Michel

764 was one of my potential favorites, however i have never got one to germinate. I have tried at least 10 of these suckers and they never get beyond cotyledon stage. Good luck getting one to go.

Hey Michel,
You might want to try one of the following seeds.
945.0 Holland 2000 (567.5 Mombert 1992 X 935.0 Lloyd 1997) 934.0 Mombert 2000 (567.5 Mombert 1992 X 935.0 Lloyd 1997) 757.0 Mombert 2000 (567.5 Mombert 1992 X 935.0 Lloyd 1997) 657.0 Holland 1999 (567.5 Mombert 1992 X 935.0 Lloyd 1997) 557.0 Holland 1999 (567.5 Mombert 1992 X 935.0 Lloyd 1997)
They are all reverse crosses of the 764 Mombert 00 that you are looking for. So, they should be just as good in my opinion.... I have the 945, the 934 and the 757. If you are interested in a little trade for any of them please let me know... Best wishes, Martin

I grew the 764 in 2002 and got a 316 with it. I crossed it with the 940 Mombert 98. The plant was good early on, but I made the mistake of setting fruit on it too early and only had 6' of main vine behind it. When a disease started taking down leaves one by one from the stump it was done in early. I also grew the plant as a flag and so there was less plant to push it than otherwise would have been. Fruit was medium dull orange. I believe this one would do much better if given another chance and better conditions.
