I sent a Self Address Stamped Bubble Envelope to Mr. Jutras a couple weeks before Halloween, requesting a seed from his very nice pumpkin. I have not recieved any from him yet. I was just wondering if anyone knows him, or knows if he has run out of seeds and has no more to give out, or if he just hasn't sent any out yet? Please let me know, Thanks.

Patience is the name of this game. I'm sure Joe has received many, many requests. I have had instances where I didn't receive any seeds from an individual until March. There really isn't any hurry, we got 5 months until planting time. And it helps to keep an open mind because no grower is obligated to fill anyones request. I'm sure Joe is just taking a breather before he starts filling the many requests he has no doubt gotten.

Bill, I'm taking a breather also, is it true you are moving south to grow giants over the winter ? You have just enough time if you start now. LOL Al

Yes congratulations Al!!you did well for having nothing on the vine..I see how you got your call name now...all the other Maine growers have to "wait til next year" to try and beat you...lol

Naw, the "wait til next year" comes from the inner feeling that tells me ....I did OK this season but, I think I can do better next season. That plus I was not ready to give up the state record. Might not be ready in 04 , maybe 07 ? or 017 LOL............Al
