I sent out packages for a squash seed and they were never returned??? Are people protecting good crosses or is it just error on their end, anyway! So im a bit flustered by this, is there anyone will to give one up. I give generously what i have and i would be very thankful for a seed or two. Zac

i'm sure anyone you sent to has gotten your mailings.
well, as sure as i can be just happening on the scene here! i thought i would be done by now with the seed-sending and the returned seeds all set and done into glass jars eagerly awaiting spring when
"the claw" reaches in and gives them their chance in '04...and be back at the Gym! not the case...it takes a lot longer than i ever expect to do the seed thing, and i will never get used to it. i want all the seeds back to me pronto as well!
perhaps politely email whoever you requested from and i'm
leaning toward they will let you know what's going on with the seeds---ps- i can only muster one seed mailing per day, tops, and i've got at least a dozen to go----it's a good thing i like to do it! be patient and good luck! i wish i had squash seeds for you, pal-----'pal2

Hey Big Z, I don't think I have gotten a request from you, but I have received a number of them. I have not sent any out yet. I just yesterday got the seeds back from my 642 that was on display at the Children's Hospital in Seattle. I hope to get some labels done and packages sent out this weekend. If not it will be next week. Patience is the name of the game with this. There can be any number of reasons the seeds haven't been sent. I expect the primary one is none will be planted for another 4-5 months and there is no rush to do it. This time of year has plenty of demands for folks time without pumpkins. I recieved some seeds I requested from a grower in the beginning of April last year. I had given up on my request and traded for the seed already, then found myself with almost a dozen of them on my hands. Most folks honor requests, but they do it in thier time. Don't worry too much about it. I'm sure you'll end up with more than you can plant when the proper time arrives.

Very well said Tiller, Tis The Season for family and loved ones. I neglected a lot of "things" for the pursuit of fruit this year.

Patience and common courtesy is the way to go. If you’ve sent requests to heavy hitters you can be assured they are swamped with requests. Not to be negative here, but if your requests were just an addressed envelope with no postage they may be on the bottom of the pile.

Not being a heavy hitter myself but I still get some seed requests. It’s greet to open a bubble pack and see a nice letter telling a little about the person and their growing experience and a self addressed postage paid bubble pack mailer. And even better if there are some seeds included.

What’s no fun is opening one and it’s just a self addressed envelope or mailer ( no postage ). It just strikes me as mannerless cheapskate saying "GIMME!"

Here’s a link to a page that talks about seed requests.

Just my 2 cents.
