I have a true 582 that I will trade for a true old school squash seed. Reply here as I really want to see you pumpkin heads give up those cracked aged freezer burnt greenies, seeds are hard to find past 1985 that will even germinate so you have to be a little generouse (Sp).

Ps. 900.8 Lyons are cool, but lets be creative, I will also send up a Gadberry 834* if that's what it takes to get there....

Despite philosophical differences, I offer you an 807* Stellpflug 1990. No reciprocation needed, I'd just like to see it used.

I should have stated that I am looking for seeds like the 574* Miller from 87, the 355.6* Dill from 85, the 671* Gancarz from 86, or similar pre 85 well preserved squash seeds.

Thanks

Gerry

671 was the world record pumpkin that i saw in the '90 guiness book of world records in which i also saw the 653.5 stellpflug in. in those early years i don't think growers cared too much about the types of breeding practices that one worries about nowadays. I find it interesting that those two fruit were actually related, something i didn't know til recently. what is the origin of the 355.6* dill since it played a role in modern pumpkin genetics. How did dill grow squash when he was developing a pumpkin line and how can he call fruit with 355.6* genetics atlantic giant pumpkins...well i guess all the 575.5 offspring had 493.5 in them too...damnit why am i on this bloody site right now...i should be out or something and not stuck in my parents' basement thinking about pumpkins...man i'm messed

oh well at least i'm having some beer

Ok, since it's a new year I will turn over a new leaf and make this New Years resolution to quit teasing you guys. The probability of getting one of those "Old School" seeds to germinate would be like winning the tri-State Lottery. LMAO!

Gerry "Green Genes" Gadberry say's Happy New Year!
