I am looking for 3 or 4 more big time donations to raise money for the green jacket purchase (plaque and trophy also) to be given away at this years Niagra Seminar to the largest true green squash grower. I am looking for awesome squash seeds, anyone having an 895 Hester to donate, it would be greatly appreciated, as well as 980 Razo, and a few others. Please email me privately, I would like to get this raffle going soon, possibly by the weekend. Many thanks to G and Wayne for getting this ball rolling.

The chances will more than likely be in the one for 10 bucks, 3 for 20 bucks range and will have 6 lots total, the first 3 we already know, we need seeds for the last 3.. I will post details on the other 3 when available, but the first 3 right now are lot #(1)Knauss 898,Lot # (2) Pukos 805, and lot # (3)Hester 675* + Nesbitt 970* + Rockwell 717*.

More to come by weeks end.. This will be a quick raffle, so dont miss out.. be sure to send in your money early.

Ahh.. thanks so much for pointing this out Wayne... Here is the info as of today...

Green Jacket, trophy, plaque.. goes to largest "true green" squash in the growing season of 2004. The raffle will start as soon as I get 2 more lots filled.. Here is what I have so far towards lots and the people who have donated the items.

1. Knauss 898 (donated by Wayne Kennedy)
2. Pukos 805 (donated by Rocky Rockwell)
3. Hester 675* (donated by Brett Hester)
4. Werner 899.5* (donated by Quinn Werner)
5. Squash extravaganza lot Werner 899.5*, Rockwell 717*, Rockwell 879*, and a few more to be added shortly. Seeds in this lot are donated by the grower of that seed, no second hand handling).
6. To be determined.

The chances will be 1 for 10 dollars, or 3 chances for 20 dollars. Enter as many times as you wish, but realize, you could have (if you are lucky enough) a Pukos 805 and Knauss 898 for a 20 dollar bill). Drawing will be held on March 14th, giving everyone a month to get checks or money orders to me. I will draw the names that evening in one of the chat rooms.

More info to follow on the 6th lot, and the extra squash seeds to be included in the extravaganza lot. Please help to support this raffle.

CHoooo Chooo! You go Joe! Hey, you dont have to be a green grower or lover to support the cause either! There are some awesome "other than green" seeds in this raffle too! Pukos 805, Knauss 898 (how can you get hotter seeds than these two?), Eaton 780, just to name a few..

Great idea guys! I know the Masters Golf tournament has been giving away a Green Jacket for years. Maybe you could get Tiger Woods to donate one of his extra jackets to the cause :)
