I have seeds available from my 511 Ritter which is the 1803 Gadberry times the 1911 Urena ( reverse cross of the 2528 Geddes) Which was 1 vote away from winning the Howard Dill award. I also have seeds from my 302.5 Ritter which was the 1911 Urena times 1803 Gadberry (same cross as 2528 Geddes). The reason these pumpkins weren't larger was a May 22nd 5 inch snow storm. If you are interested please email me at leifeliritter@gmail.com.

The 1803 is capable of good color and going over chart. Post a pic on the pumpkinfanatic site?

I posted a pic on pumpkin fanatic. It went 7% light, but the judges had it estimating 100 lbs more than I estimated it at since it has a smooth skin and the tape kept falling. Here is the image http://tools.pumpkinfanatic.com/fruitImages.php?PN=511%20Ritter%202019

Hi 97, that is a good looking pumpkin with a fantastic cross! I think you may be correct that it was incorrectly measured, all the 1803's we have grown and that other growers have grown ( Steve and Sheri Handy's 1747.5 this year at Elysian) have gone 9% to 15% heavy. It seems about 50% of them also go nice and orange and the others go "pinkish" lol. We believe the orange comes from the 2230 Wallace pollinator we used 2 generations back. Still have a lot of 1803's we hope to distribute to growers like you so they see dirt!
Thanks for growing our 1803 hope it was a new personal best for you.
