I was just contacted by a grower in Northern Russia wanting to try growing a giant pumpkin and looking for seeds. Apparently the seeds aren't available there. I'm more than willing to try to get him some, but I wanted to be sure it wasn't a mass mailing and 50 other growers are now tying to figure out how to get seeds to Russia.

Hello everyone, I sent out letters. I sent them a lot, because not every person answers me a letter. I am not a manufacturer. I am a simple gardener - an amateur.

We managed to grow a record of the northwestern region of 54 kg pumpkin. I use the site poorly. I wanted to attach a photo, I could not do it.

I sent out more than 70 messages asking for help with seeds .. I did not expect so many people to write me an answer. I was surprised that people in America are so responsive and very friendly. I want to say thank you to everyone who responded to my request .. I want to wish everyone good health and new records in 2020!

Welcome. Good to have you aboard. In order to post a picture you have to start a diary or post it under photos. The photos might take several days to appear unless you are a premium member. Ask questions in the new growers forum and you will probably get some helpful people with knowledge to answer.(Or maybe one of the people who replied will mentor you) Good luck

Do you use soil heating cables? Most everyone uses them here plus some sort of greenhouse because it gives us extra time in the growing season. Here a link to a thread on Do It Your self soil heating cables. http://www.bigpumpkins.com/MsgBoard/ViewThread.asp?b=3&p=676805

So great to have you here, Nikolay! Much luck to you in 2020! I wish you all the best this season!
I'm wondering what kind of access to soil testing you have available to you. Also, is Amazon.com available in Russia for soil amendments?
I would be interested in hearing more about your life in Russia. Do you celebrate Halloween there? Maybe a Harvest Festival or something?
Much peace and love to you, Nikolay! Thank you for contacting us and for posting here!

Nikolay, do you belong to a group of people who all grow giant pumpkins? How many people are in your group?
