Stelts, Doobie, Dill, Holland?? 123.7???
This year learned lots, and thoroughly enjoyed the company. Next year want to get bigger, starting with good seed. Being just Nor'east of Maine, heat tolerance is not a really big issue.
But how the heck do I choose between all these varieties? Or do I just pick the most popular one or two? Bill C.

You want big? Then the answer is Atlantic giant...thats the variety. Now you want to figure out which seed out of which pumpkin you want to grow for the biggest, best looking, heaviest pumpkin.(dont we all) Best bets: follow the trends and grow what other well respected and successful growers from your area are growing.Go to a weighoff, see whats/who is there...ask around. Analyze the AGGC (info avail in links section here at Bp) to see what the big guns grew last year...try to get some of those same seeds. or, make a friend for life by trying out the seed from a local grower...usually the best way to get some private tutorship !Eveyone likes to see thier own seed grow well . Good luck.....G

yes, the 455 could have grown a 1000 pounder, you should cross one with a 429 Lyons. If you want some seeds you could go to my web site, I have tried to get the best seeds possible to give to other first timers (like you) it's expage.com/tomsseedlist. Good luck, Tom
