We are newbies, livin' in Californias central Valley. Temps here in the summer are over 100 degrees for twenty days at a time, and this has been an experience for us new growers. We tried two types to start with this yr...Big Max failed miserably...and the regular Jack o Lanterns are kikin booty. Any suggestions, soil and seed? We really are looking for some good seeds that would withstand the climate. We are not seed whores..LOL...but I would talk dirty for some! Just kidding! We are Tony and Patti, from California!

I would suggest seeds that came from your local area in California.
