Hi everyone, any suggestions on what seed stock would be best for Hot and Humid Nebraska?? All of my pumpkins matured early even with frequent overhead watering during the hot weather. dave=stewee

Hi Stewee:~) I grew a 974 Eaton seed this summer and during the real hot weather90+ temps, the leafs dident drop.It seemed to be very heat tolerent. As a matter of fact the plant dident even suffer heat stress i.e burnt leafs or vine tips. The plant next to it a 723 got wilted leafs in the mid 80's.So if you don't mind cream to salmon colored pumpkins the 974 in my book is very heat resistent.Hope this helped.John

Hi Dave: For me it produced a 685lb pumpkin cream to salmon in color. But also it was grown on a plant 200 sq\ft maybe 170 leafs or so.A low wide pumpkin that weighed a tad heavy maybe 30lb to the charts. It also got a rib split,But i think it was due to poor pollination on my part got a dill ring and thats where it split,Man i hate that word. E-Mail me about the seed.John
