I know it will probably be impossible but I would like to try a 600.5 next year in our hot climate since it has proven to be a heat tolerant seed already. I have a 1230 Daletas, a 419 Pukos and a couple other fair seeds to trade. Also have a 771 Stellfplug and a 675 Hester along with a few other squash seeds. If you have one you might consider trading let me know what you are looking for as a trade.

Tom - to the best of my knowledge only 7 600.5 Gregory seeds remain. I do know several growers that planted the seed this year including myself, Beet and Pumpkinpirate. I selfed it AND am going to try to keep a few clones for next year. I also grew the 771 Stellfplug this year and found it to be as tolerant as the Gregory. Two other seeds that have grown well in the heat this year are the 350 Smith (600.5 Gregory x 845 Bobier) and the 345 Smith (it is either the same or a reveers cross of the 350 Smith)

7?
Seems there were more than 7 around when I looked last winter, just nobody wanted to trade them easily

I have two pumpkins growing on my 600.5 Gregory. One is selfed, the other is crossed with the 753 Pappas. Both pumpkins are growing very well considering our low temperatures. If the 600.5 Gregory that is selfed survives another 20 days, I would be glad to give you seeds from it.

I have a 1097 Beachy planted right next to the 600.5 Gregory. On our hotter days, the Beachy leaves get considerable burn damage. The 600.5 Gregory has no leaf burn at all.

Ingo...it appears to be a winner. Grew a 1036 in 55 days and tolerates the heat of Spain and Australia.
