Ohio

Hello all!
Thanks for all the great info I've gotten from this site. I'm new to this world of Giant Pumpkins, I have used store bought seeds and have grown a few 100+ but nothing like I've seen on here.

To my point I would like to see if anyone out there has any seeds for sale. Would like some from other Ohio growers but all any would be appreciated, read here that it helps to use ones from similar areas or climates.

In another 30 days there will be plenty of good quality seeds with all the genetic potential (or not - luck of the draw somethimes) to set records free for the postage.

Stock up on #000 Bubble Envelopes & an appropriatley size mailer envelope to put it in.

SASB = Self Addressed Stamped Bubble (envelope) in pumkpin lingo.

I would reccommend prefacing a mailing with an email & please don't forget to include a note. I'm still fairly new to all this but have already recieved SASBs with no note & can't yet figure out if I've ever received an emal from the sender. So now I have no idea which seed or seeds the person would like.

If you email me your address I can send you a few of my doubles that are proven over 1000lbs. that I don't plan on growing. You don't have to send me anything for them.

Get your soil ready pal! There's plenty of expertise and info here to keep you busy till spring...don't I know it!LOL

Don't know where you are located in Ohio, but I suggest you join up with OVGPG, the premier site in the Buckeye state! You can learn a lot, have access to some of the best seeds, and get to meet a great bunch of growers! (Free beginner and advanced seminars in early Spring!) Email me if you need more info!

If you don't already have " How to Grow World Class Giant pumkins I,II" I recommed you buy them. They're great books with tons of information.
