I was given a couple of "giant pumpkin seeds" last spring, so I planted them with the rest of my pumpkins and squash. I was ammazed to get several pumpkins over 200 pounds. I think they crossed with my other pumpkins and squash so I am looking for some seed so I can make a more serious attempt at growing a big one. I am hoping to find some seed that will produce a pumpkin that is dark orange. Mine were pale looking. If you can help me out I would appreciate it. I live in Western Washington. Thanks, Hal

Hal,
Are you interested in any of my crosses?
801.5 Stelts 97 X self (224kg) 801.5 Stelts 97 X 1016 Daletas 01 (214kg) 783 Daletas 00 X 801.5 Stelts 97 (182kg) 582 Hester 01 X 801.5 Stelts 97 (151kg) 845 Bobier 00 X 801.5 Stelts 97 (141.5kg) 810 Dill 99 X 1016 Daletas 01 (122kg) 1016 Daletas 01 X 801.5 Stelts 97 (100kg) 810 Dill 99 X 801.5 Stelts 97 (small)
Pictures of all pumpkins can be found in my diary entries from the last two to three weeks. All were an awesome orange color and should even improve with the crosses I made. The only one that was not as deeply orange was the fruit on the 1016 Daletas as the vine rotted off and the pumpkin wasn't able to mature and orange up. Also remember that seeds from lighter fruits theoretically the same potential as the seeds from the 1000/+lbs pumpkins...
Let me know, Martin
