Hi, There has been a lot of controversy about the seed auction and I have very mixed emotions about "winning it". The auction seemed like a great way but expensive way to get started in my new hobby. I just made a last minute decision and stormed ahead with bidding. My wife is very upset with me and the last thing I want to do is alienate any of my "new found friends" in the pumpkin world. I'll do my best to share future seeds with everyone I can. It will take a while just to figure out how to get started! My best to all. Bernie

I agree with H-J-K, once the bidding got past about $20 I was out of it. I hope it works out for you. Like it was mentioned in another thread, it takes 25% seed, 25% soil, 25% weather, 20% hard work in the patch 5%luck. Now comes the hard work. I'm sure you'll get lots of good advice here. Good luck...

Bernie,
I guess congratulations on ur win.... I agree with steelydave though... the seeds are only a portion of it. If u spend half that much preparing ur soil for next i think that u will be in good shape. Good luck.
