hey you

Greencastle, PA

I grew a tall gold this year, almost 10 feet tall, the average hieght for the variety, but it had an abnormally large seed head at 16". You can have some of it's seeds if you would like.

I got a sunflower about 11 feet tall with an 18 inch head, but there wasn't any seeds in the hulls... all the other lesser flowers had seeds that were fine... does neone know what i did wrong?

Yo Justin,
If the seed cases were empty then they never got to be pollinated...if they are gone altogether then the birds got there first...and they will strip it clean in a few hours.

Is there a way to hand pollinate or just let nature take her course?
