well, you know what else to do---- have a look at the seed auction coming up from the CT giant squash and pumpkin...association...front page of this site......two nights, about hmmmmmm.... i think like 40 plus lots? that's in addition to your seeds search today. have you got anything to trade back in return, other than the 729.5? hmmmm....627 i think, Hampton, selfed....i don't have any of these for TRADE, i just wondered for the heck of it......eric

WOW. Trying to get an allstar collection all at once or planning on having an auction. It takes years to get a good collection of great seeds, not one posting. If you want people to take you serious about trading, than maybe settle for asking for 3-4 at a time not 46.

The truth is i am looking for these seeds becuase they all have produced ( i believe)900+. Plus they are all in the upcoming auctions. I figure if I get these seeds before the auctions I won't be spending MEGA $$$$.

You think people are just going to give you these seeds. I think you need to think again. You need to do the work of sending out the bubble pacs, starting friendships with the growers, and building your collection from there. I you do not want to spend some money. I wish it was just as easy as posting a request for 46 seeds. Shannon

Hey I don't think AJG was looking for ALL those seeds but rather any of those seeds. That would definately seem a lot less greedy.

I've made this same mistake AJG. You do your homework. You compile a list of seeds, any of which you would like to grow. You logically think, if your wish list has several seeds on it, you naturally have a better chance of receiving a couple. So, you put it out there for the masses to see, hoping that a grower or two might see the list and have one or two. And instead, you and your homework, is disregarded as a silly attempt to acquire seeds. Been there, done that, learned it takes years and years (unfortunately)to acquire some good seeds (either that or a fat wallet). You might call it the unspoken "Litmus" test. If you're still around in a few years and you have the good fortune of popping a respectable one, then you'll probably start receiving some positive emails back about your seed requests. In the meantime, meet as many growers as possible. There really are a lot of great people on this site and in this sport/hobby/obsession! Just my observations on this... PS. Thanks a lot to the growers who do take the time and effort to respond to all of us "unknowns" and our silly seed requests...especially mine <:^}> PSS. Give me a couple days AJG, then, "you'll have mail"
