I have seeds from my 905 (898 Knauss x 1260 Weir) and 1016 (960 LaRue x 1260 Weir) available to those interested. A self addressed, stamped bubble pack and a short note will get you 2 of each. Packs without notes get burned at the stake, after i peel the postage off and use it for my own purposes.
Please send me an email to request my address.

Hey, you can't re-use stamped postage, I've tried, why don't you just reuse the bubble envelopes, I always do! In fact, when you receive my bubble, you'll be able to tell that! However, if the postage reaches you unstamped... that's happened two times so far. It never happens with American postage, though.

What i meant by tried is that you can't scrub off the ink they use for stamping.

since everybody's trying to save money on postage, try this: get a twenty-pack of 8.5 x 11 manila envelopes and when u send out a seed request, put the return bubbly in the envelope, already with the appropriate postage on the return bubbly. then post the entire thing. it seems for me to be cheaper, and you are still using the protective bubbly for any seeds going OUT as well! eric/pumpkinpennypincherpal2

Here's how you save on postage: 1. Do not apply postage. 2. Reverse the position of the "going to" and "from" addresses. 3. Mix in with other outgoing mail so the post man doesnt notice the lack of postage.
Now whats going to happen? The mail center is going to notice that there is no postage. They will then "return to sender" which they see as the address you put in the upper left corner. Not sure if this works cross country, but it does locally.

hmmmm... I guess you were never a boy scout... A Scout is ... Honest ... etc... The government does take a lot of everyones money but in this case I see it as a fee for service- type thing. I pay them around 60 cents and they deliver my bubble pack anywhere in the US. A little more and I can send it anywhere in the world ... if you ask me it is a great deal! How else could I get my bubble pack all around the world at such a low cost and in a realatively short period of time ? We pumpkin growers pride ourselfs on being an giving and honest bunch. When you start talking about how to cheat ... then I start wondering if I'll be next on your list ? ... now if you want to talk about high taxes and wasteful government spending ... well that's got to be another thread on the off topic board.

I knew it. Some people are wound up a little tight, or maybe just a little too anxious to be holier than thou. It's not a practice of mine to use the mail in this way, in fact the absolute ONLY time I use the postal service is to sent out bubble packs. Everything else is electronic.
"We pumpkin growers"?? Oh no, have I been kicked out of growing pumkins?
"cheat ... then I start wondering if I'll be next on your list" You're a little too close to attacking my character- please step away from the keyboard.
I posted that info as a way of poking fun at some people trying to save a few pennies here and there. Do you really think I am THAT cheap? Tell you what, email me your address and I'll send you five bucks so you have a beer and relax.

Send your 5 bucks and all the seeds you care to the following address.;;
Rocky Rockwell 112 Rosevelt St Sayre PA 18840..
Please dont send cash... Those guys at the postal service will steal the cash..
Oh wait, I work for the USPS..
Okay enough kidding.. The USPS is one of the greatest organizations in the world, where else can you send a bubble pack for 60 cents and create such happiness? We work hard at getting the stuff you send in a timely fashion.
I am not stumping the postal service (well, yeah, I am) but just letting you know that if anyone does decide to reverse postage as "joked" about in the earlier post, the USPS Inspection Service will eventually find you, they are that good. Oh, a few will get by, but when you get done with the savings of a few bucks, and finally get caught, Ill send you a postcard in the state Penetentary (it is a federal offense) and even if it doesnt get there in a timely fashion, you will be in there long enough as to its assurance that if it is a year late, you will still be able to read it and enjoy it!
Now when does spring get here?

I can tell you, sending an SASPB to Germany is around $1.60, but sending it back is around $5.00 in Euros. Even though we like to joke about the USPS, they do do a pretty good job. At least it's very reasonable compared to rates around the world.
Just wanting to stay on your good side, Rocky... ;-)

agreed, Cliff! You can be proud of your USPS! Their shipping rates seem to be some of the lowest in the world. We usually pay about three times what you do for the same piece of mail.

awww, now you done gone and made Fadedavid all mad and stuff...please don' make 'im all cranky and shhh..tuff... what have i learned today? i guess, just that as usual somone's little comment can start a forest fire, and that everything is in a balance because of it. there are a lot of things that we learn that only come from these little disputes on here. maybe no one will TRY the address-swapping, now that they know that it can be very serious.~*~

Fadedavid, apparently you haven't been kick out because you are still posting... ... I posted that as a joke... pokin fun...nice try but weak attempt at bailing yourself out of your cheapness... (yes I really think you are that cheap !) ... sorry if i came across as holier than thou... ... well on second thought ... no i'm not ... if you don't have morals such that you'll cheat the USPS out of a few cents then what morals do you have ? any at all ? I mean if you are going to be a thief then make it good ... take a few million at the minium. but 60 cent ? Try making it in business with a reputation as a cheat... good luck. hopefully it is just because you are young and still learning about life and how thing are... like i was when i was a youth. Jeez .. if I can't take a stand on something as simiple and basic as honesty then we're all in deep trouble! So you relax ... and go drink a lemon aid or something non alcholic because I doubt your old enought to drink anyway. ... all in fun ... see here is a happy face to prove it ... :) huggs and kisses - can't we all just get along ? and respectfully yours gordon

Sure is a lot of assumptions in there. If you'd like me to pick that post apart and tell you why you're wrong line by line, let me know here: dave.blechinger@verizon.com Or, if you prefer to keep it in the open forum maybe a new thread is in order so as not to continue to jack this one. Either way, I love to debate, as you said, "all in fun".

I might have to take out a loan to send out all my bubble packs this year!
....but I can only send them Deutsche Post unfortunately... It would have been fun to take part in this thread on even ground with you fortunate folks who have the privilege of living in the land of the free.
I'll be back in two years though and look forward to it!!!! Michel
