I'm with Gordon... GO UTES!

I'm looking for an *available* seed that has the 898 Knauss as the mother.
What I'm doing... I have some other seeds that are (898 X Somebody), what I'm looking to do is cross these. Right now I have two seeds but I'm looking for a good backup. If the seed stock in question comes from a heavier than normal (20% or greater) fruit, that would be a big plus. (It may move one of the others to backup status...)
Thanks, Cliff

Cliff I have my 898 X 845 from 2 years ago. It only weighed in the 200 pound range( cant remember actual weight) bit it was close to 20% heavy. The father produced a 490 on about 18' of vine with only 2 side vines and it was 19% heavy. If you are interested let me know and I can get you a few. John

I have my 751, which is 898 Knauss crossed with the 845 Bobier. If interested, drop me a self addressed, postage paid (60 cents) bubble pack in the mail, and I will send you a pair.

I will also include my 561 (Bobier 845 X Pukos 805). I am hoping to recover my seeds from my 803 and 629 very soon from the buyer. If I get them back, I will include them.
Anyone who wants a pair of these seeds, do as requested above, I will seed swap!

Hi Cliff, My 1074Beauchemin-03 is from the 898Knauss x 790Daletas This pumpkin was 18%heavy. I planted the 1074 and crossed it with the 842 Eaton this year and grew a 710 that split at the stem end on 8/27 It was 24% heavy. Very thick walls. I also planted another 1074Beauchemin and crossed it with the 898Knauss. It was a late entry plant and weighed exactly 500lbs and was 15% over chart. Just a few more excellent Knauss crosses to consider. Jim
