My city water report said the average ph of my water supply is 9.1 My soil ph is 7.1 Should I be considering a way to lower the ph of the water or is this something I don't need to worry about? Any opinions?

Ron, Its likley your water has already been softened... Which means that the hardness and alkalinity have already been reduced. I wouldn't worry about reducing the pH to water the garden. Your soil should buffer that out fine. You may want to adjust it down if you mix pesticides as they have longer residuals at pH around 6.

Thanks BG. I have heard that high ph water reduces the effectivness of pesticides if the mix is in the sprayer too long.
