I had to early pick some habenerio peppers.
How big are they when ripe?
How do you dry them?

They're ripe when they turn from green to orange/red. I dry mine out by taking a needle & thread & stringing them up by their stem ( not the fruit) and then putting them in a cool dry place. I dry all my hot peppers this way & when they're dry I crush & mix them together to make a great pepper blend.........Paul

Hay MCPUMPKIN have you any red habeniro and can I get some seeds I grew orange last year yea they were good but who wants to say they ate the second hottest.

I like cut the top off of mine and pull the seeds out. Then I dehydrate them and put them whole into dry canning jars.

YES DARKY,,THEY ARE RED,,
THE ONES I PICKED ARE EARLY GREEN CAUSE OF ALL THE RAIN.
I will set a red one aside and let it vine ripe and then I will pull the seed. Send me a address.

If you use a dehydrator, How bad does the pepper get in the house?? Does it burn your eyes??
