I am new to growing corn, how does the corn get pollinated? and how many ears of corn do you normally get per stock of corn? Thanks, Kevin

Pollen forms in tassles at top of stalk. It falls into silks on top of ear. Just that simple. Usually only one ear per stalk. All of this info is subject to correction by anyone with more knowledge than I. Hope this helps. Peace Wayne

To get really tall corn, you must cut the first couple ears off when they are very small and then allow the third set to grow. I don't grow them, but this is what I've been told by people who do grow them.

Corn gets pollinated by the wind too. That's why it's better to grow several rows of it next to each other, instead of one long row.
