In my corn growing experance iv done , from good -to ok & sometimes poor - But mostly ok ! Im looking for the types other people have growen with succes, what brands & types ? I like the burpee brand & type-breeders bicolor, Any ideas ??? Thanks Glenn (aka fissssh)

Gotta go with the Silver Queen for the white corn, If ya wanna try a BI-color, try the Northern extra sweet bicolor hybrid from Gurney's. I never did well with sweet corn til I tried these 2 varieties, and I have had VERY good sweet corn the past couple of years. Good luck with whatever you pick!!

Look for one that is labeled "SH2" for extra sweetness, and without the stale taste. Most of them are this type now.

Personally, I prefer to young field corn to sweet corn. When picked while still young, but filled out, it is super sweet! Ears are usually bigger too.

i have grown many kinds of sweet corn my favorites are ambrosia and arrowhead for early corn arrowhead is good its ready in 62 days it has smaller ears. but ambrosia is best i ever tasted
