Hi. Just been to Topsfield with my tall corn, it sure got alot of attention, along with a couple awards, but as tall as it was, and with me knowing nothing about corn, I got curious. does anyone know just how tall is the tallest world record corn? Also, if you know corn, mine was 200 inches, 16 ft 8 inch I think that is, then just how big iiiis that? Like for pumpkins: theres world record material (anything looking to be 1400+), world class (1200+), then 1000+, 600+, and anything other than that gets called small. Where does 200 inches fall on a scale like that for corn? Thanks, AleX Noel.

What variety of corn did you grow to get 16 ft. 8 in?
The world record has held for quite a long time. I hope to beat it someday. I'm working on it. :)
My tallest this year was 20 ft. 1 inch. I had another at 19 ft. The rest I haven't measured, but range between 14-18 ft. I have one still growing that may beat out the 20 ft. plant, but it depends on how warm it is and when we get frost this year.

HA, 31 ft. man, that's tall. Oh, Sunflower Info, that was the corn you sent to me last fall. I believe it was Jala maize? Thanks very much for it, it was alot of fun, especially since all my pumpkins died out this year. I only planted 12 seeds, got 10 stalks, and did nothing to it, just luck, deep dry (bad) soil, and about 4-6" of not so well aged manure. I'm really gonna try for it next year. Thanks, also thanks for the responses, AleX.
