Subject: roundup & fruit trees?

Can I spray around the base of my fruit trees with out harming the trees? I always manage to knock off a big hunk of bark every time I try to weedeat around them..thanks!

Just don't spray any of the green leaves. You can hit bark all day & do no harms unless the bark is freshly ripped open. There is no soil uptake with Roundup.

I would still try my best as to not hit any part of the tree.

I only spray when there is no wind. Dead calm or some of the spray may go where you did not want it to go.

Trick a neighbor showed me.....spray a sponge and wipe the sponge on the weeds. Works great and "control" is the key!
