Hello, so my cantaloupes were coming along nicley and then I went out one morning and a whole plant was wilted and dieing and was gone by the end of the day. There are plants next to it that are still healthy. I will try and post some pics but if anyone has any ideas on what it might be I would appricate it.

Sounds like a vine borer to me.

If it was bacterial wilt there won't be anything left to save from the infected plant. If the plant isn't a total loss in 2 days then I would say squash vine borer is the problem. Bacterial wilt is usually spread by the cucumber beetle. Once the plant is infected it can't be saved.

The plant was dead by the end of the day. Any way to help prevent it from getting to my other plants?

If your not using any pesticides I would get some on your remaining plants now. Insects carry the bacteria and feed on the leaves spreading the disease. Remove and burn the infected plant.
