I believe I may have a record weighing red radish on my hands! I planted some radishes this past fall and one of them is off the hook big. I have searched high and low for the record red radish and only can find it for white radishes. I have not picked the thing yet as I am trying to let it get as big as it wants and then go to seed. Just by looking at it I'd say it is somewhere between 3 to 6 pounds, probably closer to 6 pounds. Does anyone know how or where to find what the record is for a red radish?

I don't know the answer, but I sure want to know which variety you planted. Was it Parat German Giant?

matfox, thanks for the info. I don't remember what variety I planted, just that I got the seeds at Home Depot. After looking at some pics of the China Rose I'd say that I either purchased it or that there were some China Rose seeds mixed in with what I did buy. Either way, what I have is no where near 25 pounds, but it is the biggest dang radish I have ever seen. Thanks for your help!

Radish World record is almost 70lbs. White Daikon. AS far as I know Guinness does not have two separate categories red/white just radish.
