To make a long story short my taters came up the end of april/first of last month. Then things got super crazy with shearing and school. I didnt get dirt mounded up around them, and now my tater patch is a bug jumbled mess. Would it be any benifit to cut back the foliage on the green plants part. The longest of them are probly 4 feet.'

I would leave them alone. You should still get something from them.
