Engel's Great Pumpkins and Carvings

Menomonie, WI (mail@gr8pumpkin.net)

The Seed Exchanges are in the Mail. I did not get to place a letter in the boxes this year explaining what everyone contributed.
New participants..please pay attention to how these are packaged all in small individual packages. Those of you that also seperated the multiple seeds with bagsand rubber bands. Chardonnay says you "ROCK".

Thank you Shannon for organizing & thanks to all those who participated. There were a lot of good looking seeds I plan to grow this year.

One question...is it too late to start growing the giant onion seeds?

Thanks
Chris

Well I didn't have anything to contribute and I was too late to get in on the extras... I did order some onion seeds from some place (claims to be the parent stock of kelsae and alisae) to get some practice in on how to herd those to success.... before trying to get REAL ones :)

I sent Sicilian Saucer tomatoes. One 22 1/4 in cir and one 19 1/2in cir. This was my first year with tomatoes. The 221/4 filled a whole slice of bread. The 1912 was a mutation . The stem was as big as my stubby baby finger. A tomato and ahalf deep if Ican describe it that way I hope some big ones are grown. I didn,t saveenough seeds. Jim

A Large-flowered Zinnias that did well for us.
An Ornamental Lima Bean and okra that should do better down south than they do up here.
A bush Zucchini X Baby Boo pumpkin cross. This one is one-of-a-kind, folks! Then again there may be a reason for this, lol. Who knows how ugly this baby is going to be? I have no idea. Anyone else brave enough to plant it? It should be an edible (white?) summer squash that could be left on to mature if the fruit shape looks interesting, but who knows.

My dad's name is Lynn. The silver lining is that it makes identifying junk mail and sales calls (addressed to Ms Lynn) easier.

I put in the yard long pole beans and lemon drop peppers. the peppers are not giant, but are an interesting type. 1.5 in long yellow pepper, hot with a citrus flavor w/ a high yield.
