I know nothing about growing beans. I planted bushmaster beans hoping they will grow up a fence. Should I have bought pole beans or will these bushmaster also grow up a fence? Thanks

What??? You don't know beans about growing beans?!? Sorry Richard. Bushmaster is a bush bean and won't climb. I like pole beans myself because of higher yields and I don't have to bend over to pick them. My favorite is Blue Lake or Kentucky Wonder. Blue Lakes grow to about 7' average. They also have a Blue Lake bush bean. The biggest problem I have had with beans is cutworms sawing them off when they are just beginning to grow.
