Looking good --- I'm still waiting for our weather to cool down a bit so my Bhut will finally set a few pods instead of dropping all the flowers due to the heat ! Finally had about 80+\- flowers bloom a few weeks back when a storm system moved through dropping temps to the high 80s but then it passed and they all dropped again - the chinense's just do not like temps in the 100s ( http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc189/JDFanning_bucket/bhut2012008.jpg ) Pic of plant

Just realized why the video looked familiar -- I had seen it already on the THP forum !! ( I guess you use a different screen name there so didn't recognize it at first )

Finally got the first 2 pods going on my bhut Jolokia plant -- we had a storm pass through giving us some cooler weather for 4 days and the plant burst out in flowers (about 80+ flowers) but then it warmed back up and I thought they all had dropped off but today when watering I found 2 little pods growing.

Well -- we had another wind storm come through this week and I lost 1 of the 2 pods (was able to pick it up from the dirt where it fell and clean it up to give a green pod a try and it already had quite a kick to it - so now waiting is even harder. Here is a pic ( http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc189/JDFanning_bucket/bhutpod02.jpg ) I took of it yesterday with a closeup of the remaining pod in the lower left. It has a couple more flowers now and a bunch more starting to develop if the weather can cooperate a bit (they do not like temps above the mid 90s or the flowers dry up and fall off) - but looks like it is healthy and should still have plenty of time before first frost here so should have plenty by the end of the season. Then I'll be trying to overwinter it this year to get a head start on next season also.

If you'd like some seeds for next season send me a PM and as long as I get some I'd be more than happy to forward them along (got these seeds from another forum member here last year and they are definitely the real deal.
