I have the best looking plants I have ever had but the tassles are out and there are no ears.I've seen on the web that people have problems with no silks I don't have anything,no husk at all.I fertilized with 21-0-0 when it was knee high,it's now six to seven ft the amount of rain has been an inch or two per week.

wait a while. some con has a tassel that emerges before the ears a viable. When the ear is small they look like tiny leafs at the base of a leaf. When the tassel fully emerges and starts to drop pollen you should some silk coming out.

That's what I have, where the ears should be,there are leaves that somewhat look like a small corn plant.
I found one today though that has a tassle growing out of that spot

I agree with turkeygun, just give it a few days. I think you will see silk soon enough.

They are 6ft, and they are a lush green color the 21-0-0 was applied once when knee high or shorter,no other fert has been used I thought it may be from to much N but a one time application with good amount of rain shouldn't have been to much for corn
Maybe I'll get a picture of them I'm the diary in a few hours

Your corn looks fine. The silk should appear in a day or two. You probably was a little heavy with the N but should be ok. The picture you showed were of the ears but one was a sucker, I have not seen many that high though. Usually they are closer to the ground. Next year I would split the N into two or three applications one about the 5- 7 leaf and another when it reaches knee height. I usually side dress with 1/4 cup urea per 10-12 feet of row.

I have never seen suckers come out like that before. Usually they are at the base of the plant. I still think you will see silk and ears develop. The tassels are just starting to emerge. They still have a ways to go before they are fully out. It looks like you may have the plants spaced a little too tight in the row for sweet corn. I like to space the plants 8-12" apart with rows 3' apart. The more space you can give it the nicer your ears will be.

Think of it like a pumpkin the silk is the female and the tassel is the male. It would do no good to have the silk show before the pollen is ready.

I tried a 1/2 cup application of Langbenite along each 20 feet of row and noticed a dramatic increase in ears. I used an application of Fish powder from Holland's around 8-10" tall and again at silking and had composted quite a bit on well aged horse manure into the soil prior to planting. This year, I have short plants, but alot of long corn husks with less suckers.
