What is the space required for a marrow plant?
Soil requirements?
Watering?
Pruning?
How many on one plant?

Dutch Brad and Dorset Farmers , your expertise would be much appreciated .

I have the same questions as a new grower next year.

Treat them like field pumpkins. I grew all my big ones on 15x15 feet, though I did let the main continue to grow until I was sure I had a good one set. The world record was set at about 18ft out.
Just one marrow per plant. I prune them like a field pumpkin. The vines aren't always as well behaved as an AG. The WR was grown in what I called a tulip model where the outside vines grow along the outside of the patch parallel to the main vine. This means that the inside ones keep on getting shorter until there is no space at all. This way by the time you set a marrow, the plant has already filled the entire plot. Before setting the marrow I actually stopped all growth on the plant except for the main vine.

Watering is the same as for AGs and FPs. Marrows like constant temperatures so I had a sheet on during the day and if necessary a blanket at night. Our average summer temperatures here are 70F during the day and 55F at night. Generally speaking, the cooler it is, the longer they grow and the heavier they can become. The WR grew just over 7 weeks, while in hot summers they will grow about 4 weeks. They usually grow about 6 weeks.
Hope this helps and I'm sure other growers grow them differently.

PS. I don't have seeds anymore and I haven't grown for several years and don't plan to start again, so no competition from me.

Im growing plants roughly 200 sq ft ish 12x18ft like Brad says treat them like a field pumpkin. I only let one grow on a plant. I grow plenty of plants, they split like there's no tomorrow.
