Hey guys. I am looking for some sort of weed killer in concentrate form that will kill weeds but not the lawn. I have heard good things about Tenacity weed killer. 1 teaspoon per 2 gallons of water. I have tried Scott’s weed and feed Ect with no results. Does anyone know of anything? Thanks!

Eric, since I switched to Bayer Advanced products I have had great weed control and a happy lawn. Lawns need to heavily fed especially more nitrogen.

I like applying Milorganite which is a slow release nitrogen.

What weeds are you trying to control in your lawn?

I know you used Scotts Weed and Feed once with poor results. I used Scotts W&F that said guaranteed to kill dandelions and clover, and it certainly did that. When using a granular pesticide it is imperative to have wet grass when you apply it, even a very heavy dew is enough. The stuff I used had some type of "cling technology" to help it stick to the plant. I used a drop spreader to apply. Crab grass takes a separate application of crab grass preventer and must be applied before it germinates in late spring. Give the W&F a good week before evaluating results. If the clover has been there awhile, more will likely come up from seed after the treated plants die. It's a process.

Eric, I mistakenly used the wrong product name. It is BioAdvanced All Season Long Weed Control. It is also important to use the right grass seed for your climate zone. I re-seed large bare areas with Kentucky Blue grass and Tall Fescue following the first fall frost. The snow blanket protects the seeds and in the slow thaw of spring, the seeds will sprout at the best temperature. Our subdivision was originally seeded with rye grass. This seed is readily available, inexpensive and not good quality. Does not hold up well in hot humid weather and is not drought tolerant. I worked with the EPA in researching the best grass seed for each climate zone for drought tolerance. When the right seed is planted, fed and maintained on schedule, you will have a stronger lawn. I use Pennington because their grass mix for zone 5 seems to have little filler and no rye grass. Grass is a heavy nitrogen feeder, so I use Milorganite. I hope this helps.
