The New Colossus

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,

With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name

Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
“Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!” cries she

With silent lips. “Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,

I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

What made America great (once upon a time) was we accepted those who were the most impoverished and wretched.

What do you on the left think? Trump wanted only the cream of the crop. Can Biden make us spiritually great... restore a lost part of the soul of this country, by allowing the legal immigration of those who are most downtrodden, once again?

The above poem was engraved at the bottom of the statue of liberty. My lefty friends, I'm gonna be sorely disappointed if you guys don't restore the soul of this country one bit. After all that criticism and hate... please deliver on some real restoration of soul?
