Before all is said and done, Biden will create many new jobs doing things that are of real value. And they will pay more. And they will be union jobs. Not things like building a wall the Mexicans will pay for. Immigration from Mexico is way down. Life there has gotten better there for the poorer people than life here in the USA. Do we really need a new pipeline when gasoline is on the way out? And there won't be millions of immigrants. By the way, are you an American Indian or were you born elsewhere?

It reminds me a lot of how in a roundabout way I get criticized for caring about my kids... and then within the same breath I get accused of being a bad dad. With some people, life is just impossible. These type of people are the ones in power now. Marv's optimism is great and I am sure he can afford to be wrong, but the rest of us need to realize that being full of optimism without a good plan is the communist recipe for massive failure.

The pipeline will stop but the oil will still flow. It still will be transported but much less efficiently resulting in a higher cost to consumers. Who owns this alternate transportation? Billionaire Warren Buffett and other major donors to Democrat candidates. The alternate methods of transportation are owned by them from rail lines to semi truck companies. They will benefit from the shutdown. So, it’s not environmental policies. It’s kickback to the Democrat donors and nothing more. Global warming my ass, that’s what you’re told. I dont know who owns Newsmax but I checked out the headlines it looks like its just the backside of the same coin. They are attacking Elizabeth Warren for being anti- Wall Street today. Who does that benefit?
Presumably, tomorrow they will be advocating sending our patriotic kids to deal with problems in the Middle East or Far East (North Korea/South China Sea). Maybe I am wrong.

The real reason Trump was good is he was not a lawyer... Everyone in Congress is a lawyer, now the executive branch are both lawyers... Thats funny because really only the supreme court should be made up of lawyers.

Ban lawyers from Congress and/or the executive branch? Let them ONLY serve in the judiciary? This would = every problem solved. The problem with lawyers is they think they know everything. Yes, they may be very smart and capable people but there's this: More than any other profession... they get a bit detached from the real world. This level of detachment is worse than actors or clowns or drug users. This is where I am gonna lay the blame.

I was exaggerating only a narrow majority of senators hold a law degree. But I think if we had some stock-shareholder type laws where only 49% of the senate could be comprised lawyers, we would be much better off. Having lawyers be a majority (anywhere in government other than the supreme court where a law degree is truly a prerequisite) is dangerous for "we the people". It would be great if the executive branch, especially, was not lawyers.

Democrat party majorities, but also law degrees as majorities, in all three branches of government. I am more worried about having the lawyer mindset govern us than having Democrats govern us. To me Democrats aren't a real threat to me personally but the idea that laws have the power to solve ecomomic or social or environmental problems or health problems... that is the real threat. I think laws can help cause those problems... but fundamentally I dont believe laws can solve any of them.

Lawyers are masters of deck chair arrangement. They wont admit this but they are never good captains.
