I've come across owls in multiple locations recently also native snails populations are doing well & salamanders are surviving found one today. Its kinda cool to see somewhat vulnerable wildlife doing well alongside lots of human activity. I dont know who deserves credit for this... but its good to see.

Some people's lifestyles and beliefs are wildlife compatible... others less so. But there may be other things going on in nature that are beyond anyone's control.
