Universities are embracing academia's woke insanity to crush free speech. When Justice Clarence Thomas recently withdrew from the class he’d been teaching at the George Washington University Law School, it was just the latest example of the poisonous atmosphere in academia that makes it impossible to have a free exchange of ideas. George Washington University administrators had admirably stood up to the mob demanding he be canceled for his vote to overturn Roe v. Wade, citing academic-freedom guidelines that don’t shield students from "ideas and opinions they find unwelcome, disagreeable, or even deeply offensive." The justice presumably figured it wasn’t worth the aggravation and heightened security that appearing on campus would require so he resigned his teaching job.

I just caught myself in the middle of an article with them/they pronouns... ugh. I dont care if people want to be wacko as long as they allow me to be as sane as I can be! So "they" need to add new words to the lexicon, and quit hijacking words that dont really belong to "them". "They" dont have a right to monkey with my own sanity!

We have good judges still but thats about it. Why are people acting like this? If people are acting crazy, shouldnt we be wondering why? Neurotoxins... or other environmental toxins... legal and illegal drugs?

I think it comes down to: People arent recognizing they've been mass poisoned by everything from flouride to phthalates.

I dont see this speech conflict going away anytime soon. Not using the correct pronouns will become a federal hate crime. Even if you're just an old fart who is too dimwitted to adapt. One accidental slip up and its into the federal slammer...

So... they ought to grandfather-in old fashioned customs/beliefs/grammar. Those born after the year 2000 can have the new "hurt feelings" laws apply to them. The rest of us are grizzled enough to have figured out that hurt feelings arent that important. Some of us are, mentally, too old to change, so we should be exempt. Seriously.

Let old people speak freely... The young can have their communist utopia, where everyone is always happy and the laws (free speech restrictions) that will force that utopian happiness upon themselves... :)
