I had to cut out half my vine on the bottom about a foot from stump. Is it best to go ahead and cut stump out below rot, or try and save the vine and stump. If I cut, it I loose 4 secondaries, that have huge leaves. Pumpkin is around 230'ott. Term main this afternoon, hoping it will root fast and back feed kin. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

You have to cut any rot away even if that means cutting through the main.Otherwise it will progress and youll lose more if not the whole plant.
