one side of vine doing well, other side leaves wilting, vine yellowish should I cut? how much water per plant? tried miracle grow wasn't 20/20/20 could this be bad? several pumpkins start growing and then split altho looked healthy - have many flowers by stem does this cause stress? things started out as my best yr now I'm not sure have not used fungicide yet altho don't see anything on leaves - thanks for help

also when I water sometimes it seems like bugs crawl out of stem or around it? does this sound familiar? thanks for your help

Pictures are really needed to give the best advice, but I would cut out the Miracle Grow until you know what is going on especially with your pumpkins splitting. Bugs crawling out of the stem is not good either, but what kind of bugs are they?

SoundZ like squash bugs...they dont like to get wet, so they start to crawl around...get down there and take a look.....rip their headZ off...You can spray..but if vineZ are yellow...your pretty much done. But look on the under sideZ of the leaveZ for eggs and juvenileZ....itZ been the year of the squash bug unfortunetlyZ...

Stay away from miricle grow...its poison and will kill the microbes in the soil. Its like putting rocksalt on your leaves on a hot day. Sounds like you could stand to spray your plants with some sevin or another insecticide to kill whatevers creeping....

miracle grow is not poison or like rock salt geez. Be careful what advice you take.
It could be a number of different bugs...some bad. I'd lean towards wiz's answer.....but pics are best way to show probs. Wilting leaves fits with Wiz's squash bug answer....so does borers....
Yellow vines can be normal--depends on what you mean...again, pictures would aid us.

thanks for info - husband says they're "stinkbugs" I did spray some Sevin - also found some rust so sprayed Daconil also - how much water per plant? this is my third yr of trying so always learning new things - still haven't gotten pumpkins but always going to try
