I have used a systemic once. Don't know a whole lot about it. Is there any concern on getting rid of the vines and pumpkins. How about saving the seeds for next year. any input would be appreciated

no concerns at all.
vines? go into a pile in the woods and decompose naturally.(never leave them in the patch-an open invitation to winter over diseases)
seeds? no effect at all. the seeds are a by-product of the fruit .that sestemic you used? should help not hurt the seeds health ----- be sure you dry them properly
a healthy plant and fruit = healthy productive seeds. pap

we never use anything but our hands. then we rinse off the seeds (before sorting @ drying)in a solution of 1/4 bleach to 3/4 water. then allow to dry by a fan for at least a couple weeks. the worst thing you can do is pack away seeds that are not completely dried off.
