whats the best way to put soil warming cables into the ground so they don't short out or fry the seedlings and can they be used in damper then normal soil? thanks

I use this little plastic L channel like what is used for siding...Works great

I use bamboo sticks to keep separated.Then carefully remove sticks when done bury about 6 inchs deep.I didnt use this year,but will be in 2013.
