Hi,My last four females on my main have all had seeds around the lobes. What could the cause of this be? Thanks

My experience has been when the female is developing the temperature has been cold and the flowers have seeds in them. If you look back about 2 weeks before blossoming was there cold nights.

not sure of the cause but i would not not keep them unless i had no other choice. most people i have talked to that kept these defective pumpkins have run into blossom end splits,etc. i sooner set on a side if i had to. pap

Thanks, I have gone with one on a side vine. still getting seeds on flowers on main also had a couple of male flowers with seeds as well on this plant.

I think its a genetic thing. I had a plant last year that threw seeds in just about every female. It also had a a hermaphrodite blossum and a siamese blossom on the same plant. I couldn't get anything to set on the plant.
