How many people follow their recommendations to the "T" whenever they get their soil test back? I was thinking I should add some gypsum from the results but on the recommendations it said not to......Just curious, I wanted others opinions on it. Thanks

Very good question and one I had myself. My soil analysis was done by Western Labs in Parma, Idaho and very detailed. On the left are my base saturations, on the right are the recommended ratios, and on the second page are the amendment recommendations. The amendment recommendations do not match up with the recommended ratios, so I went with the ratios when deciding what to add.

Hey TruckTech, I used the same lab, I also had the same thoughts as you and I am going with my gut and am making my own recommendations along with the the labs. I too used the recommendatons and even tweeked those a little, I guess we will see If we made the right decision when we hit the scales. Thanks for your input

why bother to get an expert opinion if your not going to follow it?

Pap nailed it right on the head. If your not going to follow experts advice, why bother getting the test in the first place. After all, these guys do it for a living and know more then we do...

Ya I was thinking that too, I havent made any changes to the recommendations, but I hear so much about balance, balance, balance , then I wonder...........did they miss something? Thats why I thought I should ask. I have learned in life "if you dont know........ask" thanks for all input, greatly appreciated.
